The 37th edition of the America’s Cup, the world’s most prestigious sailing regatta, will be held in Barcelona, Spain, between August 22 and October 20, 2024.

The defending champions, the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron, will face the winner of the Challenger Selection Series (Prada Cup), which will be contested between September and October 2024.

The boats participating in the 2024 America’s Cup will be of the AC75 class, which has a length of 75 feet (22.86 meters) and a beam of 25 feet (7.62 meters). These boats are powered by sails and foils, which allow them to reach speeds of up to 50 knots (93 km/h).

August 22, 2024: Opening Ceremony
September 26, 2024: Start of the Youth America’s Cup
October 10, 2024: Start of the Puig Women’s America’s Cup
October 12, 2024: Start of the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup Match
The 2024 America’s Cup Final will be contested on a “first to seven” basis. The team that wins six races will be the new champion.
